After I left the Badlands National Park, I drove for about twenty miles West in order to get to the Badlands Petrified Gardens in Kadoka, South Dakota. It was a little privately owned place, and most of the petrified trees and stumps had been found in other places and moved there in order to create the garden, but it was very cool. Lots of great petrified tree and petrified wood samples, plus they had the tallest petrified tree found in the Badlands area. It was really cool. Very much a tourist attraction, but still cool to go to and see.
