I only spent a few hours at Canyons of the Ancients National Monument, but it was a very amazing hike. I didn’t know much at all about this place before I came here, I had just seen that there was a National Monument just outside of Mesa Verde in my road atlas, so I decided to check it out for a bit. The hike probably took me 3 hours at most, and I saw some really unique rocks during this time. I also only saw two other people the entire time I was out there, it was pretty great. Also, Canyons of the Ancients is a very big place, with its park boundaries being pretty strange, but there was a lot more to this park, but like a lot of these places, many of the areas are pretty inaccessible. But I’m glad I visited this place even for a short while, well worth it.
