I went to Pompeys Pillar after being in Missouri Headwaters State Park in the morning. It was a pretty neat place, a place that I only discovered of due to talking to that woman in the Metals Sports Bar and Grill in Butte, Montana the day before. This place contains one of the only remaining physical evidence of the Lewis and Clark Expedition, as William Clark left his signature in the pillar after seeing that the Native Americans had also drawn on the rock. He left his signature on July 25, 1806, and was not traveling with Meriwether Lewis at the time.
