I was in Zion National Park for only one night, but I spent a good amount of two days within the park itself. I saw a lot of things, including the Court of the Patriarchs and the Kolob Canyon
I arrived in Bryce Canyon National Park around 11:00 or so on Sunday September 11, 2016. I stayed two nights in the park, but really only spent two days in the park as well.
I had to drive through Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument in order to get to Bryce Canyon. This place is truly massive, according to Google it is “1.7 million-acres of diverse, rugged terrain”.
I only stayed in Capitol Reef National Park for one night, and the first hike I did in the park was to the Hickman Bridge, which I actually think is an arch, not a bridge.
I arrived in Glen Canyon National Recreational Area on the afternoon of September 9th, 2016 and I decided to stay the night there. It ended up being free to stay the night.
So I visited Natural Bridges National Monument on Friday, September 9th, 2016. I was there for only a few hours, as it was a small park, but was a cool place to visit.
I had been near Canyonlands many times before, as Lockhart Basin is very close to the Needle District of Canyonlands, but I had never actually been into the National Park before.
So I spent two nights in Lockhart Basin, at the place I’ve recently dubbed ‘The Schwarnnelled Spot’, as it is the best camp spot in the area, and the place I’ve always camped at.
I only spent a few hours at Canyons of the Ancients National Monument, but it was a very amazing hike. The park featured some very awesome rock formations.
This was my second time visiting Mesa Verde National Park. I stayed in the park for two nights, and saw many cliff dwellings and other ruins during my time here.
Great Sand Dunes National Park was the first stop on my Drive-About Round 2. I believe that this was my fourth time at the Sand Dunes.
I visited Garden of the Gods during my break between road trips with my family, so my mom, dad, and sister. It was a fun time, a really cool place and a great place to be with family.
